WorkCover physiotherapy in Goulburn.

If you've been injured at work, our AHPRA-registered physiotherapists at 37 Ross Street can assess the injury, set a diagnosis and treatment plan, and work with you toward getting back to your job. Just let us know when you book that it's a WorkCover claim, so we can set things up correctly from the start. Most treatment needs approval from your case manager before it starts — we send the request and let you know as soon as it comes back.

How it works

WorkCover-funded physiotherapy, step by step.

  1. Notify your employer

Let your employer know about the injury as soon as possible — they lodge the claim with their insurer. If you'd rather have help, call us and we can help sort out the claim.

  2. Get a Certificate of Capacity

Your GP fills this in — it sets out what you can and can't do at work, and what treatment is approved.

  3. Book in as a WorkCover patient

When you call to book, just say it's WorkCover. It's all we need to get the process moving the right way.

  4. We request approval for treatment

Most sessions need sign-off before they start. Our physiotherapist sends a treatment request to your case manager, and we let you know as soon as it's approved.

  5. Treatment and case manager updates

Sessions cover assessment, hands-on work, exercise and getting you back to the job. We send updates to your case manager when the scheme asks for them, and handle the paperwork.

Before you come in

What to have ready.

  • Your claim number or employer and insurer details, if the claim is already lodged
  • A copy of your Certificate of Capacity from your GP, if you have one
  • Your case manager's contact details, if you know them
  • A note of what happened and when, for your first assessment

Common questions

Questions we get asked a lot.

  • Do I need a referral to see a physio for a WorkCover injury?

Not to see us first — a physiotherapist is usually the right first stop for pain or injury before scans or other treatment. Your GP will still need to complete a Certificate of Capacity to confirm the approved treatment.

  • Does every session need approval first?

Most do. We send a treatment request to your case manager before ongoing sessions start and let you know as soon as it comes back approved.

  • What if my claim hasn't been lodged yet?

Let your employer know about the injury as soon as possible so they can lodge it with their insurer, or call us and we can help you sort out the claim.

  • Who reports back to my case manager?

We do. When the scheme asks for updates, we send them and handle the paperwork so you don't have to chase it.
