How it works
How your appointment runs.
Your first appointment starts with a short chat — where the tightness or pain is, how it started, what loads it up, and whether you've got a physio, GP, or specialist working with you. Then a quick check: how things move, where the tight spots are, and what's actually driving the problem.

Common questions
Questions we get asked a lot.
How many sessions does it usually take?
A one-off tight spot from a single overload often resolves in a single session with a home plan. Long-running posture and overuse patterns usually respond across a short course of sessions, spaced to suit the case. Recovery work alongside training or physio is dosed to the load and the goal, not a fixed schedule.
What happens before treatment starts?
A short chat about where the pain is, how it started, and what loads it up, followed by a quick check of how things move, where the tight spots are, and what's driving the picture. That tells us which technique to use.
How's remedial different from relaxation massage?
Different purpose. Technique is picked for what we find, pressure is tuned to the tissue, the work is specific to an area, and the outcome is a real change in tightness, range, or pain. Registration with AMT, Massage & Myotherapy Australia, or ATMS is the standard for the field.
Is deep tissue right for everyone?
No. Deep tissue is one option. Trigger-point, myofascial release, sports-style flush, and pregnancy side-lying are each picked based on the check. Pressure suits the tissue — deep doesn't mean painful, and a technique that's not changing anything gets swapped.
Can I do remedial and physio in the same week?
Yes. Plenty of people benefit from physio for the diagnosis, loading, and rehab plan, plus remedial for the tight muscle that's part of it. The two therapists coordinate directly when the case calls for it.
