WorkCover · Occupational therapy
WorkCover occupational therapy in Goulburn.
If a workplace injury or illness is making your job or everyday tasks harder, our Goulburn occupational therapists can help under your WorkCover claim — from hands-on treatment through to practical return-to-work planning. Just let us know when you book that it's WorkCover, and once your GP's Certificate of Capacity is in place, we send a treatment request to your case manager. Most sessions need that approval before they start, and we'll let you know as soon as it comes back.
How it works
WorkCover-funded occupational therapy, step by step.
Notify your employer
Tell your employer about the injury as soon as possible so they can lodge your claim with their insurer. If you'd rather have help sorting it, call us and we can talk you through it.
GP Certificate of Capacity
Your GP fills this in, setting out what you can and can't do at work and what treatment is approved. This is what your OT plan is built around.
Book in as a WorkCover patient
When you call to make your first OT appointment, just say it's WorkCover so we set your file up correctly from the start.
Approval before treatment
For most sessions, our OT sends a treatment request to your case manager before treatment begins. We'll let you know as soon as it comes back approved.
Treatment and case-manager updates
We work through assessment, hands-on therapy, exercise and return-to-work planning, sending updates to your case manager when the scheme asks for them and handling the paperwork along the way.

Common questions
Questions we get asked a lot.
Do I need a referral to see an OT under WorkCover?
You'll need your GP's Certificate of Capacity, which sets out the treatment that's approved. Just say it's WorkCover when you book and we'll take it from there.
Does every session need approval first?
Most sessions do. Our OT sends a treatment request to your case manager before treatment starts, and we let you know as soon as it comes back.
What if my claim isn't sorted out yet?
Notify your employer as soon as possible so they can lodge it with their insurer — or call us and we can help you sort the claim.
Who sends updates to my case manager?
We do. We send updates when the scheme asks for them and handle the related paperwork so you don't have to chase it.
