WorkCover · Exercise physiology
WorkCover exercise physiology in Goulburn.
Exercise physiology is exercise prescribed like medicine — the right call once your GP has signed off on rebuilding strength and capacity after a workplace injury. At our Goulburn clinic, WorkCover patients see an ESSA-accredited exercise physiologist who works from your Certificate of Capacity and reports progress to your case manager as you go. Most sessions need approval before they start, so book in, tell us it's WorkCover, and we'll take care of the rest.
How it works
WorkCover-funded exercise physiology, step by step.
Notify your employer
Tell your employer about the injury as soon as possible — they lodge the claim with their insurer. If you'd rather not deal with that part alone, call us and we can help you sort it.
GP Certificate of Capacity
Your GP fills in the Certificate of Capacity, setting out what you can and can't do at work and what treatment — including exercise physiology — is approved.
Book and wait for approval
Book with us and just say it's WorkCover. Most sessions need approval before they start: we send a treatment request to your case manager and let you know as soon as it comes back.
Treatment and case-manager updates
Sessions cover assessment and an exercise program built around getting you back to the job. We send updates to your case manager when the scheme asks for them, and handle the paperwork.

Common questions
Questions we get asked a lot.
Do I need approval before treatment starts?
Yes, for most sessions. Once your GP's Certificate of Capacity is in, we send a treatment request to your case manager and let you know as soon as it's approved — that's usually before your program properly starts.
Do I need a referral to see an exercise physiologist?
You don't need a separate referral — your GP's Certificate of Capacity is what sets out that exercise physiology has been approved as part of your treatment. Just tell us it's WorkCover when you book.
What does exercise physiology cover under WorkCover?

My claim isn't sorted yet — can I still book?
