26 minutes from Marulan

Paediatric physio in Marulan.

We treat Marulan residents from our Goulburn clinic — about 26 minutes and 30 km away.

Local care

Paediatric physio for Marulan residents.

Marulan's growing estates are full of young families, and with that growth come the questions every parent asks: is my baby's head shape normal, is crawling on schedule, why does my child walk on their toes. The 26-minute drive down the Hume Motorway to our Goulburn clinic is short enough to fit around nap times and school pickups.

We see torticollis and plagiocephaly in infants, motor-milestone delays in toddlers, and the toe-walking and coordination questions that come up as kids from Marulan, Tallong, Bungonia and Towrang start school. The same physio follows your child from first visit to last, so you're not re-explaining their history every time.

For families building a life in a highway town with more children arriving each year, that continuity matters. We won't medicalise normal variation — we'll tell you plainly what's worth watching and what isn't.

Getting here

The drive in from Marulan.

Marulan sits north-east of Goulburn, about 30 km from the clinic and roughly 26 minutes away via the Hume Motorway. Our clinic is at 37 Ross Street in the centre of Goulburn, with parking on site — an easy trip for a first assessment or a standing block of appointments.

What we treat

What Marulan patients see us for.

Paediatric physiotherapy is physio with extra training for babies, children, and teenagers — how a growing body moves, when something's outside normal variation, and what helps. The family is in the room, the same physio sees your child across every appointment, and we won't medicalise normal variation.

Common questions

Questions we get asked a lot.

  • Does my child need a GP referral before we see a paediatric physio?

No referral is needed to book. If your GP has your child on a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan, a referral lets us claim under that; private health, CTP, DVA and NDIS funding don't require one.

  • Is it worth the 26-minute drive from Marulan for one appointment?

Yes — one visit at 30 kilometres gives us enough to check milestones or a specific concern properly. Many Marulan families time it with a work trip along the Hume Motorway.

  • My baby has a flat spot and always turns one way — is that worth looking at?

Yes, and early is better. A head-turn preference and the flat spot that often comes with it respond well to positioning advice, tummy-time progressions, and gentle neck work — usually without a helmet. We assess what's driving the preference and write a home program you can do across the day.

  • At what age should I worry my child isn't walking?

Most children walk between twelve and fifteen months, and some take until eighteen without anything being wrong. We look more closely if a child isn't pulling to stand by twelve months or walking by eighteen, or if their movement looks stiff or asymmetrical. Often a single assessment settles the question.
